NSRLM annual planning workshop

Nagaland state rural livelihoods mission (NSRLM) under DAY-NRLM, MoRD completed its three-day annual review-cum-planning workshop which had commenced from January 21 at Dimapur on Thursday. 

A press release from NSRLM Kohima state programme manager Imonenla Imkong Phom stated that, C.I Meren, joint director, RD and additional mission director, NSRLM, while appreciating the national recognition the state mission have received during its 7th year of implementation, acknowledged the joint efforts of NSRLM team in contributing to this accolade. He noted NSRLM have ensured taking qualified developmental professionals on board, hence encouraged the team to give continued concerted efforts, sincerity and commitment in brainstorming new ideas for the rural poor in their respective district. 

Objective of the workshop was spelt out by M. Rollan Lotha, chief operating officer (COO), NSRLM. He highlighted the state mission’s quantum leap in covering all 11 districts and 74 blocks this FY, while saturation of household was expected by 2022. He reiterated that community members are at the heart of NRLM and therefore, inclusive planning was needed towards attaining sustainable community institutions. 

The first two days focussed on district wise presentation on their progress and challenges, while the last day was focussed on planning for the 4th quarter and FY 2020-20. The need for cross-learning and knowledge sharing between the districts and blocks for the staff and community members were also agreed upon towards communitization on the aegis of community-to-community learning. 

Participants were the district mission management units and workshop was facilitated by SPMs Imonenla Imkong Phom and Renvungo Murry.
