NSSATA and Education Deptt hold first review meeting

The First review meeting between Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (NSSATA) (2010 & 2013) and the Department of Education was held on July 12.
A press release by NSSATA president, Penthungo Y. Yanthan and spokesperson NSSATA, Kilangsangla reported that, as stated in the point of agreement at the time of the suspension of the five days agitation, the first review meeting was headed by the principal secretary, director and senior account officer and was attended by the central and district executives NSSATA and NSF & ENSF officials.
The release stated that the five days agitation by NSSATA was suspended through the intervention of the NSF & ENSF. They acted as the mediators between the Department of Education and the agitating members of NSSATA (2010 & 2013 batch).
The release further said that the outcome of the meeting was positive and the department assured them that it was sincerely and diligently working to address the issues of the NSSATA and had made noticeable progress. The next review meeting has been scheduled for August 18. 
NSSATA also acknowledged the sincere initiatives taken by the NSF & ENSF and expressed its deepest gratitude for their continuous support from the time of the agitation till date and urged the NSF & ENSF to continue to support the association. It also expressed hope that with the “tireless efforts and assistance of NSF & ENSF, there would be a final solution to the problems and issues faced by the teachers from the time of the inception till date.”
