Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) vice chairman Kekhwengulo Lea visited Phek and Pfutsero branch of NStCB on September 13 and 14 last.

During interaction with the branch officials, Lea talked on Development Action Plan (DAP) and the need for successful implementation of the policy framework.

Touching on Non Performing Asset (NPA), he also called for prompt recovery of the current loans.

The policy mechanism in place for recovery of loans should be strictly implemented for achieving the loan recovery target of the bank, he said.

Equally important is the business development to be achieved under the Development Action Plan, the basic ingredient of which are maximizing Current Account and Saving Account (CASA) deposits, opening of more deposit accounts, disbursement of loans and maximization of profits and this can only be possible if the branch accomplish the target fixed under DAP, he said.

While appreciating the employees for their hard works even during the pandemic, he asserted that it shall be the endeavor of each and every employees including the Board of Directors to plan, and execute strategies with due diligence in order to achieve the target along with an elevated financial parameter.

He also appreciated the role of NABARD for their active support in financial inclusion and financial literacy education to the farmers.

Meanwhile, Lea called upon all employees to understand the need of the customers and extend service in honest and transparent manner.

Meanwhile, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Chakhesang Baptist Church Council on September 14 at T.Chikri Pfutsero.

The MoU is to extend loan on agri and allied sector.

Rev. Khrotso Mero, executive secretary CBCC expressed appreciation on the role of NStCB in helping the farmers and rural entrepreneurs in upliftment of their economic growth.

He  assured to give full support to the bank for successful implementation of the programme.

The NStCB is one of the few financial institutions supporting the remote rural farmers by providing loan to KCC, SHG, JLG and VDB Micro finance.
