Noksen Students’ Union (NSU) in a memorandum to the principal director of DoSE Kohima on March 12 has demanded for prompt and necessary action to be taken in regard to GHS and GMS Noksen.

A memorandum signed by NSU president, M. Y. Chusa and general secretary, Y. Moanungsang Chang stated that, the GHS at Noksen was functioning without headmaster and assistant head master for more than four years, and the teacher-in-charge has been taking charge of the school. NSU appealed the authority to make immediate arrangement in posting full fledged head master and asst. head master who can be physically present in the school before March month ends.

While appreciating the immediate response from the government in deploying a Hindi teacher at GHS Noksen few months ago, NSU pointed out that the concern teacher who was transferred from one school under DEO Tuensang had failed to give any joining report till date. NSU therefore demanded for immediate action and investigation to be necessitated through the department.

Coming to the functioning of GMS Noksen, the NSU stated that the school had been without a Hindi teacher for the past three years, whereby it demanded for immediate posting of Hindi teacher at GMS Noksen.

NSU also appealed the government for immediate re-deployment of those teachers who were transferred from Noksen. Stating that there will be no compromise until the matter was seriously taken up, the NSU cautioned that it would be liable to take its own course of action if the same was not complied.
