Nerhema Students’ Union (NSU) has condemned the unprecedented raid conducted at the private residence of its community member Kezhaleo Riilho, Class 1 contractor, at Lower Bayavii Colony on June 20.

A condemnation note by Nerhema Students’ Union president, Zevituo Mere and assistant general secretary, Medokhriezo Kengüruse stated that security personnel raided the house in the absence of the male member which caused terror to the family members.
Nerhema Students’ Union further stated that Kezhaleo was a peace loving and respectable citizen and a professional businessman, therefore, there was no reason whatsoever for the Assam Rifles to have any suspicion to conduct raid at his residence.
NSU also stated that Assam rifles personnel conducted house raid without even obtaining prior sanction from the appropriate authority which is in total violation of all norms for the security forces to intrude into the private life.
