NSUB golden jubilee sports meet held

The Golden Jubilee Sports Meet to commemorate 50 years of Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) was held on October 11 and 12 at ITI Ground, KR Puram, Bangalore. The opening ceremony was graced by Utham Chengappa, founding partner of MCM Law, as the chief guest. 

Speaking at the programme, the chief guest highlighted on the importance of community bonding. Nuthipru Nienu, president, NSUB delivered the welcome speech. 

More than 700 participants from 13 sub-units participated in the event. 

During the two day meet, games like football, volleyball, basketball, tug of war, 100 meter race, 200 meter race, relay race, push up and arm wrestling were conducted. For the first time in NSUB sports meet, indigenous games like cock fight, bamboo climbing and top spinning were also introduced. 

Tangkhul Naga Welfare Society Bengaluru was declared the overall champions and Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Bangalore was adjudged the best disciplined team of the NSUB Golden Jubilee Sports Meet.

Cash prizes along with medals and certificates were awarded to all the winners.
