NSUC celebrates 41st Fresher’s-cum-annual day

 Naga Student’ Union Chennai (NSUC) celebrated its 41st Freshers’ Day-cum-Annual Day on October 19 at Hindustan Bible Institute, Chennai under the theme, Cultural Fusion and with motto: “Do not despise these small beginnings”. 

At the programme, president of Northeast India Welfare Association Chennai (NEIWAC), Wapangtoshi, was the guest of honour while Zuchobeni Tungoe, a promising artist, who was also recently crowned Miss Dimapur 2019 was the special guest artist. 

In the first session, the programme was chaired by cultural secretary of NSUC, Shwisho Lorin, a promising artist from Nagaland, Athono Angami, performed her original song followed by an opening prayer from the pastor of Tangkhul Baptist Church, Chennai, welcome address was delivered by finance secretary NSUC, Asuno Tase, Zuchobeni Tungoe enthralled the audience with her melodious voice, presidential address was delivered by the president NSUC, Chibenthung Lotha N followed by speech from the guest of honour. 

Representatives from Hindustan Bible Institute also delivered messages to the audience, speech on behalf of the freshers was delivered by Liokchila Jamir, while vote of thanks was proposed by general secretary NSUC. 

During the second session various performers from Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram enthralled the crowd with their performances. Special guest artist, Zuchobeni Tungoe entertained the audience with 3 more songs. A cultural fusion theme show was also performed by the members of the NSUC family. Certificates were handed over to all its members who participated in the programme and vote of thanks was delivered by assistant general secretary, Tovi Awomi followed by a mass prayer led my pastor of Deliverance House of Prayer, Kaso.
