NU annual management fest ‘Zoommax 2019’ begins

 The 10th edition of ‘Zoommax 2019’, an annual management fest, under the theme “Reinvent your thinking”, got underway at State Academy Hall, Kohima on February 13. The two-day fest is being organised by the School of Management Studies, Nagaland University in association with Ramietech solutions.
Assistant commissioner Kohima, Vineet Kumar, was the guest speaker for the inaugural session. In his speech, he reminded the students to set a purpose in life. A directionless life will lead to nowhere, he stated. Vineet called on the students to grab opportunities that come their way, saying “opportunity come to us all the time. It is up to us to grab them.”
Dipping into his own experience pool, he reminded the students to follow their passion and also look for job satisfaction in whatever field they may choose.
Kumar urged the students to fulfil their dreams and have faith in themselves pointing out that fear was the greatest roadblock. He asked them to not fear making mistakes in their careers. He further advice students to not copy someone else’s success. 
Akangjungshi Jamir, convenor, said the management fest was a platform for management students to hone their skills, and explore and express their talents in various events.
The program was chaired by Imtijungla, Khriethono Lese delivered the welcome address, NUSU miss fresher 2018, Monikha Gogoi presented a special song and assistant professor, department of Management, NU, Dr. Ditalak Mpanme gave brief highlights about the event.
Various colleges are taking part in the fest. The two-day inter-college fest will see students competing in various events such as panel discussions, Mr. & Miss Zoommax, beat contest, business plan, Zoommax race (treasure hunt) etc.
