NUSU(L) cultural & literary meet

Nagaland University Students’ Union, NUSU (L) commenced its XXth Varsity Cultural and Literary Meet under the theme “Sculpting cultural ethos”, with Thepfuzakie Angami, project officer, DUDA, as the special guest on April 29. 

A press release from NUSU (L) information and publicity secretary, Suraj Kumar stated that Thepfuzakie, in his speech addressed the students calling them young and qualified leaders of tomorrow. He also spoke on different topics like religion, culture, tradition, election and the environment. Thepfuzakie urged students to live under the Christian ethos and said forgiveness was the true colour of Christianity. He asserted that the younger generation should preserve the rich Naga culture and also to render their services towards a sustainable environment. He further said that clean and fair elections were only possible if bribes for votes are not accepted during elections.   
The program was chaired by Nito H Khulu; a welcome address was delivered by president of NUSU (L) K. Buche Khiamniungan who wished for the success for the three-day program (April 29 to May 1). 
A special song was presented by the Botany department and a vote of thanks by organizing secretary NUSU (L), Jenato Achumi.
