NYK youth leadership training

 Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Dimapur, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, organized a “Training for Youth Leadership & Community Development” at Youth Hostel, with technical support from Serendip Guardians and NEISSR from February 15 to 17. A press release from NYK Dimapur media cell stated that various topics was discussed during the program on understanding social dynamics of rural communities and youth, leadership, communication skills, use of IT and social media, personality development and life skills, good citizenship and responsible citizens. Resource persons were, Rini Ghosh, director Sarendip Guardians, Bokatoli Sumi, team Seriendip Guardians and Meriakthule Chewang, program officer, North East Institute of Social Science & Research (NEISSR). Altogether about 40 youth from different youth clubs participated in the program.
