Online literary competition in Ao dialect

 A month long online literary competition programme culminated on October 8, coinciding with the completion of 17th year of Tir Yimyim publication, where out of 72 participants, top 12 were selected.

A press release by the organisers stated that, the competition was jointly organised by Tir Yimyim & the Bookipedia as promotional exercise for revival of one’s own mother language in Nagaland. The winners will get cash prize along with commendation certificates. In alphabets and numbers reading, the first prize was bagged by Talisünep Jamir (Molungyimsen), second Sanglipong Imsong (Yaongyimsen) and third joint winners were Merennüksüng (Mopungchuket) and Imsumen Longkumer (Nükshiyim).

In reciting nursery rhymes, the first went to Olanger Longkumer (Ungma), second to Moazüngla Longchar (Chungtia) and third to joint winners Yimsünaro (Mongsenyimti) and Tiamenla (Süngratsü). In folktales the first went to Imsupongla Longchar (Chungtia), second to Jungjenna Jamir (Akhoya) and third to joint winners M. Wangshimongla (Kupza) and Imotizük (Mongsenyimti).

It may be noted that award winning videos in all categories are already available in Tir Yimyim YouTube and Bookipediamokokchung Instagram and other social media platforms.
