WSH attacks Rio, NSCN (IM) -
|
|
The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) is dismayed and shocked over the recent statement of the chief minister, Neiphiu Rio denouncing and disowning the current peace and unification process. It is known fact that all the Nagas irrespective of political affiliations, social and religious obligations and different geographical demarcations have been crying hoarsely over the years for real peace, reconciliation and unification of all the Naga national workers. Over and above, the government of Nagaland under the leadership of N. Rio have been working for the same through his avowed policy of 'equi-closeness' thus far. Yet, his sudden backtracking on the current peace and unification process has not only hurt the |Read.. |

GPRN/NSCN reacts to NSCN (IM) -
|

GPRN/NSCN is com-pelled to point out that the article supposedly written by Qhevihe Chishi and Kedutsu Tsuzu, Steering Committee and Convener and Home Kilonser respectively. Yet again it is another sad episode of Hebron campers using the name of two Naga gentlemen to lash out at Nagas. The write up simply did not originate from the two and evidently, they were not even informed that there names would be inserted as authors of the malicious article. This is another glaring example of Muivah's gang forcing a Naga to devour another while the real culprit watch from behind.
Nagas are now cleared where the blame

Nagaland is for Christ, and we are Christians. But bullet riddled bodies, inhuman and brutal killings, rape and scandals and scams hit the headlines almost everyday.
You look around you; you see fear and helplessness in the eyes of people. Peace loving people are disgusted by all these senseless violence but scared. Why? Naga fathers and brothers, where are we heading? What legacy are we leaving for our children? Is this what you want to gift your sons and daughters? Do you really care for your people, your children, your mothers and sisters, your beautiful land? Brothers killing brothers, mothers weeping

The truth we should accept -

Repeatedly we have been stating the truth, yet none of the factional leaders believes it nor accepts it. But what have been happening in Nagaland since the formation of so-called NSCN in 1980 is eyewitness of all Nagas and that no one can deny.

In God we put our trust and hope. This has been our working culture and our belief. But Satan never stops working, and today it is openly seen that the monstrous wave of unruly elements have created an unprecedented financial crisis, putting the political stability of the Republic of Nagalim at stake. But undaunted, we must find an ingenious means to overcome the economic destabilization. Let us keep our revolutionary reputation intact and nothing should be considered |Read.. |

The Changki atrocity -
|
|
Since time immemorial Changkiri (Enrem) clan lived through all the years as one of the founding members of Changki Village. This empirical truth can be corroborated by the Dobashi Court judgement pronounced on 6th June 1964 and ADC (J) court order of 2006. It was in 1964 that unfounded allegation arise. The ancestral founding forefather Keling was not the name of anyone from Changkiri (Enrem) clan. Since the village authority (Putu Menden) could not settle the issue, the Dobashis of Mokokchung came to Changki Village and heard both the parties on 4th and 5th June 1964 and delivered the judgment on 6th June 1964 and ruled that Changkiri (Enrem) is also one of the founding members of Changki Village. Further, the Court stated that henceforth, no Changkiri (Enrem) should be ever reproached as alien and any form of dishonor to this verdict shall inflict |Read.. |

Peace: Need of the hour -
|
|
To be a Naga is a pride and we are proud of our identity to be a citizen of this wonderful land. Nagas are peace loving people and we have been talking about peace for many decades, while looking forward what peace means, today peace in Naga-land is a burning problem. Each and every Naga wants peace in reality for all round develop-ment of true Naga culture in our society.
I always use to ask this question to myself and wonder whether Naga unity itself will convince the people to be unified or citizens of this land should create unity. When there is unity there will be no enmity and

My intention is very clear when I wrote about the impasse of Nagaland University. It was my frank thoughts of constructive criticism towards correction of the ill system of the University.
Moreover, the urge for free

NUTA questions Dr. V Thingo -

The attention of the CEC NUTA has been drawn to the second article of Dr. V.Thingo, published in the local dailies on the 21st April 2008, which is highly defamatory and indicates that the gentleman has not understood any of the issues for which the NUTA protest has been staged. Peaceful agitation and protests is a democratic right of every citizen and the NUTA has taken this stand as a last resort, for the complete failure of the Vice Chancellor and University officials to redress the grievances with regard to the University and its development.

Negative impact of NUTA’s agitation -
|
|
Unlike any other universities in the country, it is a well known fact that Nagaland University is famous for agitation. It does not allow its atmosphere to remain peaceful even for a year. AS such, it confuses people as to what the priority is for the highest seat of learning. It naturally injects the agitated seed in the minds and brains of people that a University is a place where strikes and protests are common occurrences. The people particularly those who are not exposed to the outside world, will perceive the university in a negative light and this perception is carried on by the younger generation of the Nagas.

Ineffective State budget and implementing system -

The state budget is one year programs of the people for the development activities. Any negative budget is culmi-nation of mismanagement in the receipt and expenditures of both revenue and capital fund-ing. We are aware that even the deficit budget is meaningful if the targeted program of the year is achieved adequately. Those sensible people of our state are surprised to note that the currant year deficit of Rs. 425.77 crore is the biggest amount in the history of the past forty five years budget of statehood, which is in the backdrop of waving of Rs. 367 Crores deficit during 2003 -2004 through the act of generosity of the then NDA Government. As a result our state will have no opportunity such a financial relief from Delhi during the coming years.
