Organisations condemn March 16 murder incident

Various organisations have condemned the murder of late Er. Kevinguto Khate on March 16 at Kuda village, Dimapur.

NIE MNAA: National Institute of Engineering Mysore Naga Alumni Association (NIE MNAA), condemned the heinous murder committed on its bonafide member, Er. Kevinguto Khate. 

A condemnation by NIE MNAA stated that his demise was a great loss for the association and Nagas in general. It also appealed law enforcing agency to ensure that no stone was left unturned in bringing the culprits to book and in ensuring a befitting punishment to such criminals. Union also conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

KTUN: Khonoma Thevomia Union Nagaland (KTUN) has condemned the murder in the strongest term and requested district administration and Police to award befitting punishment to the murders as per law. A condemnation by KTUN president Akho-u Sophi and advisor, Ravolhuto Whiso expressed concern that before the punishment of another heinous crime perpetrated upon one of its citizen could start, another young and dynamic member of society was murdered. KTUN called upon the responsible administration and law agencies to award stringent punishment to the perpetrators of the crime. KTUN also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray that God grant the departed soul to rest in peace. 

CMK: Chakhromapfü Mechü Krotho (CMK) has condemned the “cold-blooded and senseless murder” of late Er. Kevinguto Khate, assistant professor, NIT Nagaland on March 16. A condemnation by CMK stated that, a life to be cruelly cut short in broad daylight was unimaginable and an insult to humanity. CMK grieves with the family and pray for comfort and solace, while urging the authorities not to grant bail under any circumstances and demanded the severest punishment for those guilty.

ASU: Angami Students’ Union (ASU) in a condemnation by president Vizokho Zashümo and general secretary, Petekhrietuo Kiewhuo stated that, late Er. Kevinguto Khate was a dynamic and upcoming young technocrat whose future possibilities were immensely bright and promising. ASU urged the government of Nagaland to leave no stone unturned so that justice was delivered at the earliest. ASU conveyed its deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family.
