Outreach OPD at Koio village

As part of the ongoing outreach OPD to villages under Chukitong range, initialed by PHC Chukitong under the aegis of Nagaland Health Project (NHP), HCMC of Chukitong PHC, led by medical officer Dr. Abenthung Murry, conducted outreach OPD at Koio village here on Saturday. Altogether, 60 patients availed free medical checkup and medicines. Screening of malaria, anemia and TB were also conducted by the medical team. 
During the programme, Dr. Murry imparted health talk to the villagers wherein he stressed on the importance of personal hygiene and cleanliness, immunization, VHND and ANC/PNC. The medical officer also highlighted the various government schemes such as  AB PMJAY,JSY, JSSK etc, and called upon the participants to avail the services provided by the government.  Apart from the PHC medical team, staff of Koio SC also assisted in the outreach OPD.
