PAN discusses issues faced  by prosecutors in the state

Prosecutors’ Association Nagaland (PAN) held its annual general meeting for the year 2019 at Hotel Japfu, Kohima on August 17 and deliberated on various issues confronting the prosecutors of the state. 

A press release from PAN assistant general secretary, Abraham stated that, the house decided to pursue the resolutions adopted in the meeting with the appropriate authority. 

It also deliberated in detail the recommendations for improvement of prosecution system in India on the basis of the outcome of first national conference of prosecution officers held at Central Academy for Police Training (CAPT) Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on March 1 and 2, 2019.

The house unanimously agreed and adopted the recommendations made at the conference and resolved to propose and request the state government to consider the recommendations made in the interest of criminal justice system in the state. 

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kenile Kent vice president and president Hutoi Yeptho delivered the welcome address. General secretary and finance secretary Sashilemba and Temsunaro Jamir gave their respective reports and vote of thanks was delivered by the general secretary.
