Panchayat and road inaugurated at Kezoma village

Kezoma Village Panchayat and CC road of Kezoma village constructed under MGNREGA scheme under Rural Development department was formally inaugurated by project director and additional director DRDA Kohima, Alemla J. Chishi on November 28. 

A press release by Kezoma Village Council chairman, Puhovi Tase stated that, Alemla in her speech appreciated the Kezoma village for timely construction of the panchayat hall, where all important affairs and function related to upliftment of the village can take place in this panchayat.She encouraged the village to cooperate with the government, particularly Rural Development department for further developmental activities as RD was focusing on rural sector for all round development. 
BDO block, Khovi Thaprü said that Kezoma village was awarded for best out-standing performance and implementing development scheme of MGNREGA during 2019-2020 under Jakhama RD block and also awarded the highest national level of “Gram Panchayat” award and Deen Dayal Upadhya Panchayat Sashaktiman Puraskar (DDUPSP) for the appraisal year 2018-19 by the ministry of Panchayati Raj, India. He also handed over the certificate of excellence to VDB secretary Kezoma, Zadekhweto Zecho for his outstanding performance in the village developmental works.
Zadekhweto Zecho read out the panchayat building construction report and Kevizeho Rote, president Southern Angami VDB Union, Jakhama block spoke on behalf of the union.
Earlier, dedication prayer was pronounced by Medongol Thami, pastor Kezoma Baptist Church, welcome speech by Puhovi Tase, chairman Kezoma Village Council and Women Society Kezoma presented a special folk song. 
Vote of thanks was delivered by Dusaho Mekro head GB. Khwecho Zhale pastor CRC Kezoma pronounced benediction and Kroneicho Naki presided over the programme.
