Minister for Planning & Co-ordination and Land Revenue Neiba Kronu, on July 19, said that the new PDA government was working hard and earnestly to fulfill the aspirations of the public to bring development and prosperity to the state.
He said this at a consultative meeting with all Heads of Departments, Ward chairmen, GBs and prominent leaders of Pfutsero area held at the Conference Hall of ADC Pfutsero.
He assured the gathering that he would contribute his best services to develop and uplift the state.
Kruno however admitted that he was unable to do much in the last government due to the political crises.
Speaking about various developmental activities being envisaged by the present government, Kronu said that a proposal for setting up a mini secretariat in Pfutsero, for better governance and also to serve as a pilot project, was already in its final stages.
A proposal to establish a fire station and sub-jail for Pfutsero is in the pipeline, he stated. Kruno said it was important that petrol pumps, nationalized banks, security police check gates etc. be set up in Pfutsero to ease the woes of the public.
According to Kruno, to ease the traffic congestion at Pfutsero town, the proposal for a Pfutsero “Ring Road” was on the verge of implementation. The minister urged the administration and the public to come together to maintain peace and tranquility in the area.
He appealed to the leaders and the people gathered to set a good example of hospitality and friendliness during the forthcoming Nagaland Inter District Badminton Tournament 2018 to be held from August 6.
The meeting was chaired by ADC Pfutsero Zeneikhonuo Vimero. The meeting had various divisional heads of departments highlighting their activities as well as talking about the problems they face when discharging their duties.
Vice principal GHSS Pfutsero and convenor of the organizing committee for Nagaland Badminton meet 2018, Kelhikha Kenye, in his address, told the gathering about the Nagaland Inter District Badminton Tournament to be held at Pfutsero town from August 5 to 11 under the aegis of Phek District Badminton Association (PDBA).
