All Nagaland Trained Physical Education Unemployed Union (ANTPEUU) has expressed concern over Physical Education (PE) posts held by “unqualified candidates”.

In a press release ANTPEUU said the union held its first general meeting on August 10 at Tourist Lodge Dimapur and decided to change its nomenclature from Physical Education Graduate Unemployed to All Nagaland Trained Physical Education Unemployed Union.

The release informed that more than 40 members who attended the meeting also resolved to stand in unity and fight for justice in regard to job placements.

ANTPEUU lamented that concerned department does not publish advertisements against vacant posts and that “most posts” were held by “unqualified candidates”.

The union also expressed deep concern over many PE graduates who were on the “verge of becoming overage” due to delay by the government to appoint qualified candidates.

Meanwhile, the house has selected Kivilu K Kiba and Imchatsung as ANTPEUU president and general secretary respectively.
