Peren district observes anti-malaria month

National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) Peren district observed anti- malaria month (AMM) under the theme “Zero malaria starts with me” in the month of June 2020.  

A press release by CMO office Peren district media officer, Celine Secii stated that, various activities were carried out in the selected 15 villages which are known hotspot areas and hard to reach in the district.  

Activities were carried out under the supervision of district vector borne officer (DVBO) Dr. Kevihulie Meyase and district consultant Vimekhrie-u Metsieo along with the village community leaders, ASHAs, malaria technical supervisors (MTS) from the 4 blocks under Peren district and surveillance workers (SW) of NVBDCP.

Various activities such as miking, importance of LLINS usages, fever screening, inter-personal communication (IPC), and house to house awareness were conducted in all fifteen villages, as per COVID-19 guidelines of physical distancing, use of gloves, mask etc.
