Performance review meeting of BDOs in Kohima

Performance review meeting of Block Development Officers (BDOs) was held at rural development (RD) conference hall, Kohima on April 8.

A press release from the department stated that commissioner and secretary RD department, Neposo Theluo urged BDOs to work on improvement of performance under RGSA and give attention to the 15th finance commission. 
He urged BDOs to speed up the account opening process for 15th FC so to avoid any penalty and to provide the best materials when implementation begins.
He further stressed that BDOs should visit the field and cooperate with PHE department to assist and guide villagers during the process.
In his introduction, RD joint director K. Neibou Sekhose highlighted on the achievements of the previous financial year, where three villages: Chiechama; Okotso and Kezoma received awards under various categories.    
He spoke on classification of 15th finance commission and the type differentiation of tied and untied funds. On bank accounts of various schemes, he stated that separate bank accounts should be maintained to enable smooth transaction/withdrawal of funds and proper implementation of works under their specific respective schemes.
Under PMAY-G, RDO Hamdok M.Konyak read out the report and status of performance of the blocks while urging them to speed up the process of geo-tagging and registration for the sanctioned works. Grievances of BDOs were also discussed and solutions were shared.
