Perizie colony wins Amity Cup

Perizie colony emerged as the champions of the first Amity Cup 2019, an inter-colony penalty shootout tournament, held at IG Stadium, Kohima on Saturday.

Perizie colony defeated Upper Bayavü-A 4-1 in the final shootout to win the cup. The champions received a cash prize of Rs.10, 000 while runners up team Bayavü-A received Rs.5000.

Vizovor Liezietsu of Perizie Colony was named the best goal keeper and received Rs.1000. 

The tournament was jointly organised by the colony youth organisations under Kohima Municipal Council Ward-1 (High School), Ward-2 (Bayavü) and Ward-3 (North Block).

Altogether 32 teams from 11 colonies of the three wards took part in the tournament. Earlier, Khriehu Liezietsu, MLA graced the occasion as the special guest.
