Persons entering Nagaland after Mar 6 asked to report

Health and family Welfare department has asked all those who have entered Nagaland after March 6, irrespective of been screened at various check points to self declare and report to the designated helpline numbers 011-23978046; 7005415243; 9856071745 and 7005539653.

In an order, principal director H&FW, Dr. Vizolie Z Soukhrie, directed those who were put on home quarantine and family members or persons in contact with such persons to strictly follow the guidelines for home quarantine issued by the government from time to time and to extend full cooperation. The order stated that any act of non-compliance would be deemed to have committed an offence punishable as per the provisions of the Epidemic Disease Act (EDA), 1897.

Further, the order stated that those on compulsory home quarantine would be followed up and monitored regularly for 14 days by respective district surveillance unit. All responsible have been asked to contact district surveillance unit helpline.

In another notice, H&FW has directed that samples for COVID-19 test from suspected persons would be collected only at the designated collection site(s). Samples would be transported to designated sample collection site(s) only by designated ambulances and would be kept in Mandatory Designated Quarantine places(s) till such time the test results are available. Only authorized vehicles shall be permitted to cross the Quarantine Security Gate. Any act of non-compliance shall be deemed to have committed an offence punishable as per EDA, 1897.
