Petrol prices were cut for the second straight day on Saturday while diesel price prices remained stagnant for the fifth successive day across key cities in the country. Petrol became 7-8 paise cheaper after Saturday’s price revision.

In Dimapur, petrol was retailing at Rs 70.61 per litre compared to Rs 70.68 Friday while diesel was retailing at Rs 63.80

In the state capital, Kohima diesel price was unchanged at Rs 64.41 per litre while petrol price went down from Rs 71.48 to Rs 71.41 per litre. It may be noted that last month, the retail price of petrol went up by Rs 2.42 paise per litre while diesel price went up by Rs 1.73 a litre. The pump fuel prices are dependent on the global crude oil prices and the rupee-US dollar exchange rate.
