MAPUR, FEB 3 (NPN) | Publish Date: 2/3/2020 12:17:04 PM IST

DIState-owned oil marketing companies reduced prices of petrol and diesel for the fifth consecutive day on Monday. The price of petrol was cut by 6 paise while diesel price was slashed by 5 paise across all major cities.

After today’s price revision, petrol prices in Delhi declined to Rs 73.04 a litre while diesel was retailing at Rs 66.09 a litre.

In Dimapur, the retail price of petrol came down to Rs 71.02 per litre and diesel was sold at Rs.63.90 per litre on Monday. In the state capital, a litre of petrol and diesel was retailing at Rs.71.83 and Rs.64.53 respectively. The retail prices of fuel are dependent on the international crude prices and the rupee-US dollar exchange rate as India imports almost 80 per cent of its crude requirements.

Domestic petrol and diesel prices are reviewed by oil marketing companies on a daily basis. Price revisions are implemented at the fuel stations with effect from 6 a.m.
