Petrol, diesel prices hiked

Petrol and diesel prices were on Sunday  increased for the second successive day across the country. Following Sunday’s rate revision, petrol became dearer by 7-8 paise a litre while diesel prices went up by 10-11 paise per litre. On Saturday, fuel prices of petrol and diesel was hiked by about 8 paise and 5 paise respectively.

In Dimapur, petrol petrol prices rose to Rs 70.01 a litre as against Rs. 69.95 on Saturday while diesel price was hiked to Rs 63.13 per litre as compared to Rs 63.04on Saturday. In the state capital Kohima, both petrol and diesel price saw a steep hike of 69 paise and 54 paise a litre. As on Sunday, petrol was retailing at Rs. 70.84 per litre as compared to Rs. 70.15 on Saturday and diesel price was Rs. 63.76 per litre as compared to Rs. 63.22 a litre on Saturday.
