Petrol, diesel rates further

Following the daily revision in fuel prices, petrol prices fell for the fifth straight day on Monday while diesel also became cheaper. Petrol prices in all the metro cities fell between 10-16 paise per litre on Monday while diesel became cheaper by 8-12 paise. Petrol prices in New Delhi were cut by 15 paise to Rs 70.59 a litre on Monday. Diesel became cheaper by 10 paise to Rs 65.61. Meanwhile, in Dimapur, the price of petrol fell by 15 paise to Rs. 68.35 Monday as against Rs. 68.49 on Sunday and diesel price fell to Rs. 63.12, down 11 paise from Sunday’s price. In the state capital Kohima, a litre of petrol and diesel was retailing at Rs. 69.17 and Rs. 63.75 respectively.
