PGC declared as ‘Tobacco Free Campus’

Peren Government College (PGC) Peren was declared “Tobacco free campus” during an awareness programme on “Tobacco free world” organized by the college tobacco control committee in collaboration with NTCP, Peren district on February 20. 

A press release from PGC media cell convenor stated that, special guest Dr. Sabino, district nodal officer, Peren district, in her speech highlighted upon the ill-effects of tobacco consumption and administered the anti-tobacco pledge to the students. She also handed over the certificate of recognition to the principal of the college.
Earlier, programme was chaired by Joseph K. J, asst. professor, and convenor, anti-tobacco committee PGC, welcome address was given by Dr. Katoni Jakhalu PGC principal, special number presented by 6th semester students and vote of thanks by Albert, vice principal PGC.
