PGC observes its 37th Cultural Day

 Pfutsero Government College (PGC) observed its 37th cultural day with the theme “Retaining originality” on August 24, organised by the Pfutsero Government Students Union (PGCSU) with the cultural committee of the college headed by Neichupe Kapfo as the convenor.

A press release from PGCSU stated that, Dr. Moanochet Longchar, principal PGCP in his short exhortation, asked the students to have positive cultural outlook and continue to preserve and enrich the culture that were passed on by ancestors. He also encouraged the students to actively take part in cultural activities and pass on the rich culture to the future generation. 

Cultural day programme included competition on folk/indigenous songs on duet, quartet and group, re-enacting of folk lore (drama), stick walk, wrestling and tug of war where the students were divided into four houses namely; Cardiff City, Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton competed in the competition. The day concluded with prize distribution and vote of thanks by Wekhrotso Krome, social and cultural secy PGCSU.
