Pig breeding centre was inaugurated, Saturday, at Satier sector, Aliba village by EAC (Hq) Temsuchuba Jamir.

Speaking at the inaugural programme, EAC Temsuchuba stated that the God gifted “land” has always been the provider and should not be misused but utilised it to the best advantage. He said that proper utilisation of the land through the agri & allied sector should be the answer for the many unemployed youth. He opined that rearing of livestock has become very important to sustain the livelihood of many. Temsuchuba urged the residents of Satier to embrace the principles of hard work, dedication and honesty, in their endeavour to see Satier- a centre of economic revolution, in the near future.

A brief introduction of the Satier sector of Aliba village was narrated by CONFU president Lanukaba Imchen, who stated that Satier was officially established on July 10, 2006. He said that Satier, means “corridor of elephants”, as herds of elephants, annually passes through Satier from Kaziranga National Park to Arunachal Pradesh.

Short speeches were also delivered from representatives of Aliba village council, Satier sector, Veterinary department, SBI and DRDA. Earlier, the pig breeding centre monolith was unveiled by EAC (Hq) Temsuchuba Jamir.

Welcome address was said by Mokokchung Law College principal I Mangko Kichu and vote of thanks by Concern Forum Aliba, convenor Rongsensashi Pongen. 

Programme was chaired by Moatoshi Longkumer and invocation said by ABA pastor Nungshi Pongen while the benediction was said by Satier Sarasadem Tenlongjem in-charge, Imliakum.
