Plebiscite Day observed at Pfutsero, Wokha

Plebiscite Day was observed by Naga National Council (NNC) on May 16 at Pfutsero and Wokha towns respectively.  

Pfutsero: Pfutsero area national workers observed the 69th anniversary of Naga National Council (NNC) Plebiscite Day on May 16 at Calvary Baptist Church, Pfutsero town. 
A press release by Pfutseromi Village Council (PVC) chairman, M. Mero, stated that the day was observed with speaker leacy hoho CR/FGN, Kamucho Chuzho, as the main speaker. 
The release informed that public leaders and different organisation shared greetings to all the national workers on this day.
The council also conveyed greetings to all the national workers and also shared joy with Solhi Mero, one of the signatories of the Plebiscite, who attended the programme. 
NNC Wokha: NNC delegates from Mokokchung, Wokha, Phek and Kohima observed Naga Plebiscite Day at Wokha town on May 16, chaired by T.S Keyho, vice president of NNC. Thinoselie M Keyho general (Retd) presidential message was read out by president of NNC Angami regional council. 
Vice president stressed on the importance and its landmark achievement of NNC i.e. “Naga Plebiscite” in his speech. President of Angami Region (NNC) emphasized on the need of a “United Naga” to enable the NNC to save the Nagas today and their future. Acting president Ao region NNC stressed on Nagas coming together based on Nagas plebiscite. President Lotha region urged Nagas to join hand and uphold the NNC. Several senior NNC workers also delivered short speeches in the function and one noted leader said, all the Naga tribes must unite and raise a collective voice for Nagas cause.
Earlier, invocation was offered by pastor CRC Pongitong, Rev. Elhio, welcome address by Chenirao Humtsoe, member of central executive NNC and vote of thanks delivered by T. Oren Lotha, president Lotha regional council.
