PNTM Bangalore organizes freshers’ meet

Poumai Tsiidoumai Me (PNTM) (Poumai Naga Students’ Union) Bangalore held its 23rd Freshers’ Meet (Vedaoyu Nii) under the theme “Together Towards Tomorrow” at Parish Hall, All Saints Church, Bangalore with director of Trivik hotels and Resorts and Ramada Encord, S. Raju as the chief guest on August 29.

The chief guest in his address congratulated the fresher students for their success in their last examination. He exhorted the gathering saying that success depended on the individual and also on if they utilize opportunities wisely. 

The first session was compeered by Banner L. J and Ari Damaris; invocation prayer was said by R.S. Wellson; presidential address was delivered by P. P. Pangao president PNTMB; Rev. Dr. Rehei Pastor, PNBCB invoked God’s blessing for the freshers; a speech on behalf of the freshers’ was delivered by Koveirose Ramai and another speech on behalf of old timers, by Sapuni Poumachi (Founding member of PNTMB). The benediction prayer was said by Ng Pillarson Veiluo. 

In the second session, the program was compeered by Sapuni H and Lalune Lana. The occasion also witnessed a traditional dance presented by Chilivai circle; traditional display by Lepaona circle and folk song by Paomata circle. A ‘Men’s Body show’ was performed by members of PNTMB and “Voice of Poumai” was presented by KS Kaohii James.

Mr. Freshers’ was bagged by Rozii Duo (Phaibung Khullen village), while the Miss Fresher title was bagged by Martha S (Khongdei village).

General secretary PNTMB, Raine Rosalin proposed the vote of thanks while closing prayer was said by Ahrai Washington.

The program was attended by hundreds of participants including 68 freshers, various Naga students’ representatives of Bangalore, seniors, well wishers, public leaders and others.
