PNTMB, NSUD hold vigil service

Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me Bangalore (PNTMB) along with Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) organised a candle light vigil service in commemoration of Onae Reh Dah (The Great Battle of Oinam), the 32nd Commemoration of “Operation Blue Bird” on July 9.

A press release by PNTMB stated that the service was organised in solidarity to the brave-hearts of Oinam Hill Village and 30 other neighbouring villages affected by the infamous operation. The release stated that the service convened by PNTMB, general secretary, Veithriene Pao began with Poumai anthem after and an address by PNTMB president, D Thopulou which was followed by a rich tribute to the martyrs from NSUB president, Nuthipru Nienu. At the service, life experiences and testimonies of the tragic incident was shared by Veilou Albert and Rev Dr K H Reihe after which lighting of candle took place followed by a minute of silence for the departed souls. A prayer was led by Poumai Naga Baptist Church Bangalore pastor Dr. Rev K H Reihe; vote of thanks by PNTMB ex president, sailor Kyapaomai and benediction by PNTMB advisor, P P Pangao.
