Pohwang warns of action against VDB members involved in corruption

Advisor fire and emergency service, SIRD, relief and rehabilitation and chairman DPDB Mon, Pohwang Konyak warned that the government will take stern action against any members of Village Development Board (VDB) found to have involved in corruption and illegal activities. 

Speaking at the monthly DPDB meeting of Mon district on Tuesday, the advisor told the members that government was serious to develop the villages. 

In this regard, not only stern action will be initiated but any funds and schemes for specific village would be stopped in the event of VBD members involved in corruption, he added. 

Pohwang also informed that linking of Aadhaar number to E-roll could not be achieved till now because many villagers does not have aadhaar card. 

Meanwhile, at the meeting, following agendas were discussed, approved and forwarded to the government. District transport officer Mon gave power point presentation on road safety and awareness where pamphlets and leaflets for the same were also distributed. The meeting was chaired by DC Mon.
