Political parties fete Dr. S. C. Jamir

NPCC rank and file has lauded Dr. SC Jamir on being conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. NPCC president K. Therie in a press note stated that, it was only appropriate to acknowledge a person who has steadfastly stood by the 16-Point Agreement which led to the birth of Nagaland as the 16th state of the Indian Federal Union. 

Therie stated that the award comes after 60 years of service and tall standing, and it was providence that Dr. S. C. Jamir lives on to hand over the values of the 16-Point Agreement to newer generations. NPCC also thanked the governor for naming Durbar Hall as Dr. Imkongliba Hall and for recognizing all the Nagaland People’s Convention members. 
DDCC: Dimapur District Congress Committee (DDCC) has lauded Dr. S.C. Jamir former governor of Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Orissa and five times chief minister of Nagaland on being conferred with prestigious Padma Bhushan award.
Chairman minority department: Rajesh Kumar Sethi, secretary Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee and recently appointed chairman minority department for Nagaland state by AICC has also lauded Dr S C Jamir. Minority department of NPCC wishes him a long and healthy life.
