Preparations underway for AKM 68th general conference

The 68th general conference of the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) will be held from January 15 to 17 at Khar village, Mokokchung. 

The conference will be held under the theme “Reinvigorate”. Hectic preparations are underway for the conference at Khar village some 34 kms away from Mokokchung town where the host village has welcomed 2000 delegates from 6 Tsukong ranges and 32 sub-units under the AKM. 
The programme will be graced by host of dignitaries including G. Kaito Aye minister Agriculture & Cooperation as the guest of honour, Temjen Imna Along, minister Higher and Technical Education and Tribal Affairs as the introductory guest and Tongpang Ozükum, minister Mechanical & Housing as the valedictory guest. 
The conference will also witness workshop sessions on topics like entrepreneurship, preservation of Ao language etc. Conference will also see the election of a new team of office bearers of Ao Students’ Conference for the next tenure.
