Programme on conflict resolution

One day capacity building programme on conflict resolution for students of Pine Mount School (PMS), Padumpukhuri, Dimapur, was held on September 12. 

A press release from media in charge, Peace Channel (PC), Alan Paul, stated that Project Coordinator, PC, E. Nyeamying Konyak, highlighted on conflict as anything that is from fight to disagreement and also briefed on different types of conflicts. 

She further shared on different ways of dealing with conflicts such as dialogue, mediation, communication and listening and added that as young leaders they should be an agent of peace. She also reminded the students that whenever there is any conflict they should not ignored but try to resolve it. Headmaster, PMS, R C Talukdar, welcomed the trainers. All together 56 students from classes 7 to 10 standards attended the program. 

Meanwhile, capacity building programme on “Do no harm” was also conducted by peace club member of St Andrew’s School, Jotsoma, with an objective to help members develop sensitivity towards others sentiments and promote peace through amicable solutions.
