Project ‘Connect’ distribute first batch of computers

Project “Connect”, a project offering exclusive opportunity for students and teachers to avail customised desktops at affordable rates, disbursed its first batch on June 24, here at Tenyimi Complex, Dimapur.   

Briefing media persons at the programme, president, Tenyimi Students Union Dimapur (TSUD), Rukewezo Wetsah, said that the union in partnership with E Build, decided to help the students and teachers, who had to rely on e-learning.  He informed that the project aims to reduce plight of students and teachers who were now solely dependent on e-learning due to the circumstances created by the ongoing pandemic.

He maintained that the desktops were being sold only to teachers and students with valid ID cards, at the rate of Rs. 7000 per PC. He also mentioned that the PCs were available for all districts of the state, however, districts outside Diamapur would have to pay an additional amount as courier charges. 

Further, proprietor, E Build, Erewate Lasuh, in a  brief introduction, stated that the customised desktop included branded 15.6 inch LCD/LED monitor, with CPU configuration of 2GB RAM/160HDD/Intel/AMD processor, mouse, keyboard and required cables, and with 1 year warranty. 

He also said that if there were issues related to the functioning of the PCs, the company would re-issue a new one if the old one was not repairable. It was later informed that as of now, they had received an order of 200 sets of PCs from all over the state.  Wetsah however regretted that they might be able to distribute only about 1000 PCs.
