PTCSU conducts 9th phase sanitation drive

Phek Town Chakhesang Student’s Union (PTCSU) conducted its 9th sanitation drive with students of Christian Home School and Government Middle School Kerehuba Phek on April 27. 

A press release from PTCSU stated that in short briefing held prior to the commencement of the drive, PTCSU president, Veçhihu Khamo appreciated the huge number of students that turned out from both schools. He advised the students to cultivate the habit of cleanliness as a daily activity in order to facilitate a healthy environment. He also stated that cleanliness is not the responsibility of only sanitation personnel and government departments, but of everyone. 

PTCSU general secretary, Kewetso Khape also highlighted what Phek town had achieved in cleanliness. 

He claimed that Phek town was ranked the 23rd cleanest town in India and the top cleanest town in the State. He also stated that this meritorious achievement was due to the collective effort of every citizen of Phek town. 

The drive commenced after a prayer pronounced by PTCSU assistant women coordinator, Muguvelu Soho. The drive was conducted from Clock Tower till Bible Hill junction Phek town.
