PTSU inter-school spelling bee competition

Pungro Town Students’ Union (PTSU) conducted its 2nd Inter-school Spelling Bee Competition on August 11 at Cultural Hall, Pungro Town, under the theme, “The thinker builder.”

A press release from PTSU president Dolun Jr and literary secretary Pentsumong Wilson stated that Dolun, in his presidential address, welcomed the gathering and also enlightened them on the importance of conducting such events. 
Guest speaker for the event, PGT GHSS, Sanjay Prasad, elaborated the importance of phonetic english and stressed on the importance of conducting such events.
Limdethong, Mt. Horeb Baptist School, Pungro was adjudged the winner in the Spelling Bee Competition, while Sorito of Christian High School, Pungro and Tothsangla of Little Flower School, Pungro were adjudged the first and second runner ups.
In the prepared speech competition, Kuchila of Mt. Horeb Baptist School, Pungro stood first and Preceela of Little Flower School, Pungro stood second. 
In painting, Derila of Mt Horeb Baptist School, Pungro stood first and Nuthsenpong of Christian High School, Pungro, stood second. 
In essay writing, Luntsula of GHSS, Pungro stood first and Tsushela of GHSS, Pungro stood second.
Rasuka Jacob, David Deshilen, Vothong Moses were the judges for the prepared speech, painting and essay writing. AdiLen Kipzz, was the Pronouncer for the spelling bee.
VP, PTSU, Apo was the anchor the event, Church & Mission Promoter YBBA, Tsuyihba pronounced the invocation, associate youth pastor, PTBC, Manase proposed the benediction,. The other highlights of the event were a dance performance by Hilly Guys Club and a musical piece by Leshimong. 
The president wrapped up the event with words of gratitude while acknowledging the yeoman services rendered by everyone present. He also lauded former PTSU president, Alen A Yimchunger for sponsoring the prizes for the event.
