NPF Legislator, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu said that good quality education is the need of the hour in Nagaland, today.

He was speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of Viphuho Foundation High School (VFHS) new school building Saturday, at Mt view colony, Purana Bazar, Dimapur.

Inaugurating the building, MLA Azo in his speech congratulated the school and said that in order to impart good quality education, one needed to be disciplined, sincere and dedicated.

Making a comparison between government and private schools, Azo said those private schools were doing far better than government schools because the management of government school had become weak.

The education system has become weak because of leaders like politicians, undergrounds and so called national workers, for everyone wants their share though they are not qualified and fail to select the best and capable ones, he opined.

Encouraging the gathering on being a good listener, Azo said that if one wanted to be a reasonable leader, one should have the patience to listen and follow advises for greater purpose in life.

Pointing out that VFHS had quality of discipline, Azo said that the strongest pillar of a vibrant society was fearing God, inculcating discipline and being a good human resource development.

While briefing about the school, VFHS administrator, V Phushika Aomi said that it was a red latter day for the school to give new hope to the generation and to create a space to mould the future generation.

He maintained that the school comprised of different community of qualified teacher coming together to impart quality education to the students.

Aomi mentioned that the foundation stone of the new building was laid on February 7, 2020 and shifting of the school proposal was carried out in the year 2018, so as to provide better education with better infrastructure.

The school structure comprises of 16 rooms, 12 rooms to accommodate 35 to 40 students, four rooms to accommodate 25 to 35 students. The school also plans to provide science lab for higher classes, library and central conference hall.

Short speeches were delivered by Ratan Mech on behalf of the parent, Mt view colony council chairman Kughato S Aye, DNSU president Sedevilie Angami.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by AHM Richard Hart, welcome note by headmaster T K Ganguly, dedicatory prayer by EDSBA senior pastor reverend Dr ZK Rochill, vote of thanks by school management secretary Kughato Aomi and benediction by Thilixu Baptist church pastor Khetoi Shikhu.
