Rally against poor roads at Naginimora

To register their protest against deplorable road conditions of Naginimora town under Mon district, the citizens of town Monday took out a silent rally led by the Konyak Union (KU), Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK), Naginimora Konyak Students Union (NKSU) of Naginimora unit.

The rally began at 10 a.m. from Nagaland gate and ended at ADC office. The rallyists traversed through the 3 km stretch of town road before culminating at ADC office premises where a memorandum addressed to Minister for Roads & Bridges was read out and a copy of memorandum was handed over to the ADC. According to the union, the memorandum would be submitted through the executive engineer PWD Naginimora division.

In the memorandum, they stated that the road had been neglected by the government for more than 20 years. 

They pointed out that the Konyak Union had been forced to carry out maintenance of road despite limited resources. It also pointed out that bad road condition was causing huge problem to the public in general and the students in particular. The memorandum urged the government and the responsible department to address the genuine problem of the people.
