Rededicate to build a glorious new Nagaland: Ravi’s Christmas message

Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi Sunday extended Christmas and New Year greetings to the people of Nagaland and called upon the people of the state to “rededicate ourselves to live together in harmony and work for building a glorious new Nagaland.”

In his message, Ravi reminded all that the message of the birth of Lord Jesus Christ was invaluable and eternal message of peace, tolerance, compassion, love and brotherhood.

He also expressed the hope that the Christmas message would bring peace and prosperity to every person and harmony among all the people of the State in the new year 2020. Ravi, along with his wife Laxmi, wished the people of Nagaland a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

In the evening, a pre-Christmas celebration programme was also held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima. The service was marked by Christmas carols, thanksgiving, Christmas pageant and special musical presentations.

Renowned musician Dr. Benny Prasad along with his wife made special appearance as they shared the gospel through their music and message. 

City Church Kohima presented Christmas pageant consisting of songs, stage plays and message about the birth of Christ and the importance of the Christmas and United Male Voice presented a special song. 

Earlier, Governor RN Ravi and chief minister Neiphiu Rio lit the Christmas candle, while the wife of governor-- Laxmi Ravi and chief minister-- Kaisa Rio cut the Christmas cake to mark the Celebration. Commissioner & secretary to Governor, T Mhabemo Yanthan delivered the welcome address. 

Host of dignitaries including Nagaland chief secretary Temjen Toy, legislators and others were present on the occasion. The pre Christmas celebration programme was followed by dinner.
