Despite its commitment to provide quality services to its customers across the country and to place Nagaland prominently in the ‘Digital India’ Roadmap of India, Reliance Jio, however lamented that due to natural phenomena like heavy rains, landslides, etc and also due to different physical developmental activities like road expansion, etc which are being carried out in different patches/ locations. Reliance Jio stated that sometimes fibre connectivity gets disturbed resulting into network issues temporarily.

According to reliable source, Jio teams are fully engaged to address such incidents for immediate restoration and for routing the channels or adopting other available technical solutions wherever possible to avoid customer inconvenience at any point of time.

It stated that recently due to highway expansion some fibre cuts happened. Fibre cuts also happened due to hill cutting and dumping activity in Wokha – Bosta patch and in Mokokchung - Changtongya patches due to multiple fibre cuts from Changtongya caused due to landslide and highway expansion related soil dumping work.

It also clarified that the ongoing expansion work and related hill blasting activities is causing damages of temporary aerial cable which is laid through the valley side across the active expansion areas.

Also, frequent Landslides have been occuring at blasting zones on the Wokha- Bosta and Mokokchung - Changtongya spans.

Jio team also assured that it has been working on to restore it in Mokokchung by mid August and in Wokha and Tuensang by the end of August.
