Residents of Zuvotong colony Wokha, led by colony council and Zuvotong Colony Youth Organisation (ZCYO), and High School colony took up the task of repairing the damaged stretches of the long-neglected Zuvotong-High School road starting from Zuvotong Junction till Mount Sinai School, largely on their own, here at Zuvotong colony on Saturday.

After the PWD Department unloaded three truckloads of boulder worth approximately Rs.24000 for the road repair some days back, residents of Zuvotong and adjoining areas had to pool money and resources to level the road with mud and complete the repair work on their own.

In the first-of-its-kind initiative in Wokha, residents turned up in huge number and rendered their services throughout the day. It may be mentioned that the said road is the link road to District Hospital, GHSS Wokha and other institutions in Wokha.
