Review meeting on WPSF in Peren

Chief medical office (CMO), Peren, under the chairmanship of CMO, Dr. Denis Hangsing, held its district review meeting-cum-orientation on World Population Stabilization Fortnight (WPSF) on July 5 at conference hall, CMO, district HQ, New Peren.

A press release from district media officer, CMO, Pezanguno Celine Secii, stated that DPO, UIP/RCH, Dr. M Nukshisangla Jamir, briefed the gathering about WPSF, which is to be held from July 11 to 24. 
She also highlighted about mobilization fortnight that has been underway since June 27, where ASHAs are conducting inter personal communication in all the villages, awareness conducted using church platforms by IEC personnel and DCM, and focus group discussion to be held in all Health Units. 
All the members were later asked to carry intensive awareness about family planning and health units to conduct counselling. 
She also informed that lap ligation will be done at CHC Jalukie and District Hospital Peren. 
Continuing medical education on common eye diseases and its management was presented by MO Ntuma PHC, Dr. Lydia Ndang and management of diarrhoea in children  by MO Heningkunglwa PHC, Dr. Ramdeu Lungalang.  
Dy. CMO, DPO NVBDCP, DTO RNTCP, DPO UIP/RCH, medical officers from Mbaulwa, Ntuma, Azailong, Heningkunglwa, Dungki primary health center, epidemilogist, pharmacist and nurses from all health units, DAPCU, district programme management unit and block programme management unit staff attended the meeting.
