Rio, Along call on Javadekar

Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio with minister of Higher & Technical education and state BJP president, Temjen Imna Along, “congratulated and thanked” union minister of Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar at New Delhi on Wednesday for considering the first ever professional engineering college in Nagaland .

CMO said both Rio and Along had called on Javadekar at his residence Wednesday. At the meeting Rio appraised Javadekar of difficulties in implementing the national flagship programmes such as SSA and RMSA under the school education department. Rio said there was a gap of Rs.194 crore between the estimated outlay of the Project Approval Board (PAB) and the fund committed by the Centre for 2018-19 while the figure for 2017-18 was Rs.179 crore.

Rio also raised the issue of 1379 CSS Hindi teachers recruited during 12th Five Year Plan ending March 31,2017 and the imbalances caused on state finances to maintain status quo in funding salary for CSS teachers under SSA and RMSA.
