Rio meets Sarma in Guwahati

Ahead of Union Home minister Amit Shah’s meeting with the chief ministers of all the North Eastern states scheduled to be held on Saturday in Shillong, Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio accompanied by deputy chief minister, Y. Patton met Assam chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, at the latter’s residence in Guwahati on Friday. 

Nagaland BJP in-charge and national spokesperson Nalin Kohli, who accompanied Rio and Patton to Guwahati was also present.

In a tweet, Sarma said: “Honoured to have received special visitors at my residence, Nagaland CM Sri@Neiphiu_Rio & Dy CM Sri @YanthungoPatton. I thank them for finding time to discuss a host of development projects of the two states. @BJP4India national spokesperson Sri @NalinSKohli also joined us.”

Rio also took to twitter and said that the meeting was “fruitful”. “I thank him for his hospitality and concern for all round progress of the North Eastern States,” Rio said.
