Rio, others condole Joseph Sumi’s demise

Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio and various other organizations have condoled the demise of Joseph Sumi.

CM: Rio in his condolence message expressed shock to learn of the untimely demise of Joseph Sumi, vice president of Nagaland Football Association and president Dimapur District Football Association.

Rio said late Joseph was a well known personality who contributed his best for the development and improvement of sports, particularly football. Rio on behalf of the entire Olympic and sports fraternity of Nagaland conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and the football association. He also prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

SCD: Sumi Council Dimapur (SCD) expressed pain to know about the demise of Joseph Sumi. In a condolence message, SCD chairman Kuhoi Zhimo described late Joseph as a dedicated sportsman whose contribution towards building a better Nagaland in the field of sports especially Football was remarkable.

SCD said that the demise of late Joseph has caused a vacuum that will bedifficult to fill. Kuhoi also recalled that late Joseph’s amiable character made him a popular person amongst the Football lovers and Nagas in general. Kuhoi, on behalf of his family and on behalf of Sumi Council Dimapur expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
