RN Ravi’s tenure extended as JIC chief, interlocutor

Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the tenure extension of RN Ravi as Chairman, Joint Intelligence Committee, NSCS and as Interlocutor of Government of India in Nagaland as per extant terms and conditions.

An order issued by PK Tripathi, Secretary Appointments Committee of the Cabinet & Establishment Officer, stated that the extension would come with effect from August 25, 2018 until further orders.

The Government had in August 2014 appointed Ravi as the official Interlocutor and Government of India Representative for Naga Peace Talks. A 1976 batch IPS officer of the Kerala cadre, Ravi retired as Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau in 2012.
