Road safety week observed in Kohima

On the occasion of 31st national road safety week 2020, Kohima Police conducted various exercise on January 18.

According to Police/PRO Kohima, the on-road seminar for two wheeler taxi riders and four wheeler taxi drivers were held Razhu point and PHQ junctions respectively. During this programme, the riders and drivers were made known of the importance of road safety rules in preventing accidents leading to grievous injuries or death of drivers, passengers and pedestrians. 
Pamphlets on road safety were distributed to commuters in all major police points. To positively encourage two wheeler riders to wear helmets, Kohima Police donated helmets to defaulters and briefed them of the importance of wearing helmets for one’s safety.
